My baby boy just took his sister's small chair and pushed it, walking, across the room.
I do believe that was a tear that just splashed in between the letters of the computer keyboard.

Happy 3rd Birthday, AK
October ended with the Big Number 3...or "Fwee" as I love to hear her say. We invited 5 friends, but one was sick and one stayed home to nap. The theme this year was Curious George. Here's a little insight into what went on during those two hours of party time!
pizza and fruit lunch while I read "Curious George and the Pizza Party"
games of Pin the Whipped Cream on George's ice cream, monkey/banana toss, and "Where's George"
cake/presents/outside fun
And the pics to prove it:

Last Trip to the Orchard
Early in October, we went on our last trip to the orchard. I had never seen the apple trees so bare. We ventured far into the orchard and did manage to get one last bucket of apples. We also picked our pumpkins! AK did a great job choosing her first ones.

this makes a nice drum
finally, "my legs are long enough!"
Potty Training Success
This photo was taken after week two of charting. I ventured into the sea of potty-training without a plan on October 1. On October 2, I wasn't so sure we had made the right decision, but J said "C'mon, she's almost 3--it's high time," so I forged on. I was a lucky mama because she pretty much trained herself. We're working in stages, but really, once your kid pees somewhere other than in a diaper, does it really matter? Trained is trained! :)
Yesterday we bought another "Elmo seat" for the downstairs. Poo still goes in little Blue, but the New Year is my goal to have that accomplished. This Saturday we will go to "unders" only at night. She's been 100% dry every night and 99% dry the rest of the time. Fortunately for this mama, she has a bladder of steel. (kind of like her will) The teachers at school are amazed. I get worried!
Hopefully "Bruder" will follow in Sissy's footsteps in a few years...
