Anna Kathryn was born on Thursday, October 30, 2008 at 2:57 pm. She weighed in at 6 pounds 13 ounces, heavier than both her parents were at birth! She is 20 inches long with a full head of dark hair!
We had a whole list of "qualifications" for a name and these are the important features of her name:
Anna is for my grandmother Anneliese
Kathryn is from John's side of the family (we may have tinkered with the spelling)
Anna means Grace. Kathryn means Pure.
Anna is a Biblical character.
Both names stand alone, should she choose to use one or the other later in life.
Anna and Anna Kate will be what we call her--the latter double name for her Southern heritage.
Nicknames: Anna-Banana, Anna-Kat (her cry sounds like a meow) :)
She is currently with her daddy so her mommy can upload these pictures.
Two thoughts of today:
1. If ever there was a day where I did not want to go on in life, those days are now officially over. What a change this little life makes.
2. For those of you that *really* know me, I had no idea it was possible for *me* to give life to such an agreeable human being. (Now, I know this will probably change--ha ha)
