The Long-Awaited Day

In September 2006, when we first moved to Indiana, J and I picked our first apples at Tuttle's Farm. It was great that year; apples, applesauce, applecake, you name it....We were newly married and life was pretty great.

In September 2007, the weather was a lot cooler than in 2006. The apples were fine, but something was missing. We didn't get a little red wagon, just bags for our apples. We took pictures of us reaching in trees and carrying apples in our shirts.

In September 2008, excitement was upon us as we compared my tummy to the large bag of apples we picked. We said, "Next year is it! Next year, we will have a little someone in a little red wagon!"

And today was the day. I could hardly wait. Yes, J points out we mainly went apple-picking for me...well, and AK's scrapbook. But, I think she loved it! These pictures will tell it all. And if that wasn't enough, we took her to our neighborhood party tonight and she was great!

In the car on the way to the farm, reading the book about the little red wagon:

Hmmn, what's this? It's round....

and smooth...

and tastes really good!

Scenic cornfield in back:

Daddy pulling me in the wagon:

Wonder who weighs more..the apples or AK?

The llama is just one of the other cool things to see and do at the farm:

Time to go in the store now; bye little red wagon. See you in October for my pumpkin!
