Team Spirit

Having high hopes for our team, we dressed in spirit gear this afternoon and took some pictures! I'm happy I can use this outlet here to express my opinions, without anyone being able to take a dart to them. I am not an "it's only win" person; I am more of an "it's only a game" person. Now, I know this is not an accepted attitude in football, but alas, I am who I am and that's what I think. Of course, we all hoped our Colts would win, but they did not. Two things did strike me during this game, though....one, I mentioned to J--"It's fixed, isn't it?" After all, most things in life are so political. I just don't know where they would have found unbiased referees. Two, I did not AT ALL like the way the Saints players "rejoiced" when the Colts did something wrong or did not gain a point. There is a German word for this and right now it escapes my mind. Mom? I've never noticed the Colts doing that to their opposition. They have always been such a humble, well-mannered team. I think back to the game this season where they "ended" it instead of going to get as many points as they could. I am proud to support Our Team! Now, on the other hand, every time PM threw the ball, I am not sure where our players were....????....and also, the scene with Drew Brees holding his small son (younger than AK) with earplugs was absolutely touching. I wished J would have seen it.

Here are some pics of our afternoon photo shoot:

Upstairs ON her rocker. She can climb up into it and loves to rock. The other day she had quietly left the kitchen, climbed up the stairs and I found her in the rocking chair...yikes, nothing is safe anymore. ha ha. She has also learned to maneuver herself around the turn and down the stairs.

Here I decided to post a picture of a tantrum. I thought it would be funny for the faithful viewers to see the "other side." She is upset because I would not give her my camera, but instead gave it to J to put on the tripod.

Here she is a few minutes later with *her* camera, smiling again.

Daddy and his football buddy. We let her stay up till 730...she ate pizza off our plates cruising around the living room. Talk about a "relax the rules" night. It was great!

One happy Family!
And in other news, she is saying "cheese" in several of these pictures. :) I taught her that. :) She also now says "pa-pa" for both propeller (YES--on an airplane!) and powder (baby)!

"No, Dr. so-and-so, she does not say "up" and "down," but she does say cheese, balloon and propeller!" :)
