A star and an M&M

This little face above is very proud of his sister! Today we had a playdate with a friend who knows how to use the potty. Instead of storytime at naptime, we practiced "The Potty." I was so proud of her for finally sitting more than 2 seconds (I exaggerate not). She sat a full 3 minutes and then another 2 at one point. Well, nothing came and after naptime, I offered again to practice, which was declined, but big-girl-underpants (the real thing) were accepted. It was TWO hours until the flood came (alas, on the edge of the carpet), along with tears and frightened screeches. I was sitting on the couch holding the baby...J cried "Put down the baby!" I literally put the guy on the couch, jumped up, picked her up and dumped her on the little potty in the kitchen. Woo-hoo, she got some in!! We clapped and danced and wiped off her tears. I proudly produced the orange M&M before she even got up off the potty. The star and the date went on the chart. First time since NOVEMBER. Hallelujah!

At her 2.5 mo bday, I'm planning on half a cake and a goodbye to diapers and a hello to pull-ups. I like the all-or-nothing idea, but for AK, I think a Transition is in order. So, 29 days to work on the excitement. YEAH!

YAY, AK. Auntie B is so proud!
Sounds like a good plan with the pull ups.
