What an incredible joy that boy is.
That little "baa-ing" sheep is turning into a little boy.
His grin...captivating.
His hugs...incredibly warm.
His wriggles...getting more urgent to explore life from mama's arms.
I always wanted a baby girl. I got one. She is my little pal, my buddy, my tag-a-long, my mimic. She loves dress-up and dolls, colors and coloring, puzzles and being puzzling. She has a heart of gold...for her daddy, her mama, and especially her brother. My prayer is that she shows strength where my weaknesses are. So far, so good.
I never thought I could love a boy. I don't know anything...about boys. But, this boy loves me and together we will grow. God certainly knew what he was giving me when he brought EH into our lives. He is a total gift. I mainly mean for my sanity--with him, it has been an "easy" year for child-rearing; a loved process. It is my chance to help form him into a godly, loving, caring man.
Wow. Two amazing blessings.
And now some pictures of our "first" celebration. (Pun...yes, there will be a second next week)
Good morning! I'm ONE!
An afternoon of hard work
Enjoying dinner of salmon, noodles and peas
Hmmn, what's in the bag?
Why is SHE opening MY present?
(btw, AB, she already opened it days ago...and got a time out!)
Touch and feel--really my favorite!
AK originally was given this book before her birth.
It was so well-loved, read, and worn (read: ruined) that I threw it out and got EH a brand new one.
