This is a snapshot of AK with her music toy. In the middle is a "book" where you can flip the page and the sounds change from "educational" (ABCs, numbers, colors) to "jazzy tunes." All of a sudden, she prefers the ABC page and when we flip the page, she notices right away that her ABC song is gone and she flips it back! We've done this several times, so it is no coincidence either! Smart baby!
She has also been practicing getting to her feet on this toy. Fortunately, it eventually will have legs attached, so she'll be able to play it standing up. All this week, she has been pushing up on it. Well, this morning, J reports that he found her standing in her crib, hands on the rail. Yikes! Time to lower the crib to its lowest level. "Standing" is considered an "advanced" skill at 7 months! She's also good at vowels....we are working hard on consonants....no dada, baba or mama yet! (She's much too busy trying to get around town)

Hmmm, perhaps she is expressing her opinion that jazz is not "real" music. :)
