Whirlwind Alabama

Well, less than 24 hours after our vacation ended and FIVE loads of laundry later, we drove down to Alabama. Took us about 1o.5 hours or so. I ended up as the back seat amusement for 4 of those hours. (groan) The primary reasons for this trip were Betty's birthday and to bring back the other Mott vehicle as we only had 30 days (20 in Alabama we found out yesterday!) to register them both in our state. We spent Monday with Betty and then drove home in two days, spending the night on the road. Much easier to do that when there is no one to amuse Anna in the back. It took us longer than we had hoped today, but overall she did really well. I've noticed just in the last few days a more "grown-up" personality change. Very cool. Tomorrow she will be NINE MONTHS old! Below, some pictures with Grandma Mott:

I was taking pictures of Betty and her birthday roses and AK wanted to get in on the pictures, too. (Harold always got these for B and John is dutifully following in his footsteps. "Dad, we'll take care of each other.")

Sacked out from all the traveling. One tired baby. And two parents relieved to have a quiet dinner. :)

Looks like a natural, doesn't she?

Lisa, she is such a cutie! I've been out of the blogosphere for awhile, and I can't believe how much she has grown! Love the piano picture ... never too young to start!
